Object history | This dress originally belonged to the donor’s mother, Song Chou Fong, who was born in Shanghai in 1936, moved to Kaohsiung in 1948 and then to Taipei from 1951. She was engaged to Meng Ta Cheang (b. 1937) in 1959. This dress together with FE.13-2016 were made specifically for their engagement party. The couple later relocated to Aachen, Germany and got married there in 1963. Song was trained as a teacher, while her husband was an Architect, educated first in Taiwan and then Germany and later settled in Delft. |
