| Object history | This badge commemorates an important moment in the intersection of design and politics, replicating a Finnish stamp illustrated with a homoerotic design by 'Tom of Finland' (Touko Laaksonen, 1920-91). After coming under fire from conservative Russian politicians opposed to LBGT rights, Finland's national TV station deliberately mailed letters with these stamps to Russia, in an act of protest and provocation. |
