Physical description | Print showing 'The Red Hands' or 'Welsh Chieftains', 1815. The print features three performers, Mr. Campbell, Mr. Sloman and Mr. Hartland. All three are dressed in tabards patterned with stylised foral motifs. Mr. Campbell, positioned on the left is raising his right hand to his face, whilst his left hand rests on the hilt of the sword which hangs in the scabard at his waist. Mr. Sloman, at the centre, is shown in profile, facing towards Mr. Hartland. Mr. Hartland has his sword upraised, and is positioned on the far right, facing towards the centre and Mr. Sloman. |
