Physical description | Two prints of the actor William Phillips. The prints are mounted on dark sugar paper. The print on the left shows Phillips dressed in a full length, comic, costume with pointed ears and playing a cello. The print on the right shows Phillips in profile, he is wearing a full length, comic costume with an integral 'tail'. The suit costumes fits closely to the body and buttons at the centre front and is worn with a wide, circular collar. He is also wearing slippers, one of which is missing. Phillips is shown as if in motion, with his right foot upraised. |
