Birch plywood
Although born in Hungary and having lived for about twelve years in Germany, Breuer left when Hitler took power in 1933. Following two years of living in various European cities Breuer emigrated to England in 1935 ostensibly to enter into an architectural partnership with F.R.S. Yorke. To supplement his income he worked as a designer for Isokon until he left England for America in 1937.
