A small nose ornament with a curving gold wire hook ending in a small scroll. The decorative part of the piece has coils of gold wire above an encircling row of granulation with a brown-coloured pearl below threaded onto gold wire which is twisted round a terminal at its base.

Dr Ganguly bought this nose ornament together with Prov.411-2015 from Michael Beste on 5 May 2010 for a total of 120 euros.
Historical context
Dr Ganguly noted that this nose ornament and Prov.411-2015 would typically be used for the embellishment of images of deities, but she also felt that they could be worn by women with nose piercings close to the edge of the nostril.
