This sword belt accompanies a sword and scabbard (Museum nos IS.2:1,2-2007) made in Punakha in 1931. They show the continuation into the 20th century of the ancient Bhutanese tradition of sword making.

Physical description
A sword belt of red felt with four mounts of pierced and gilded silver. From the two central round plaques hanng two silver suspension rings. A leather strap is attached to one end, a buckle to the other.
