Object history | This poster was produced to advertise the final performance of Miss Saigon, 30 October 1999, at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Written by Alain Boublil, with music by Claude-Michel Schonberg, directed by Nicholas Hytner, Miss Saigon had its world premiere at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, 20 September 1989, and went on to become the longest-running musical at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. By the time it closed on 30 October it had been performed there 4,264 times, while the previous record-holder at that theatre, My Fair Lady, had 2,281 performances. |
