Object history | The play was written by Oscar Wilde and directed by Christopher Morahan, with a set by Peter Rice, lighting by Robert Bryan, design by Peter Rice and music by Ilona Sekacz. It was a Chichester Festival Theatre production which was first seen in London at the Haymarket Theatre from 10 August to 6 November 1999 (previews from 4 August). It then returned to the Savoy Theatre in 2001, from 23 January unril 14 April 2001, with previews from 17 January. The cast at the Haymarket Theatre was Patricia Routledge, Adam Godley, Saskia Wickham, Alan Cox, Rebecca Johnson, Jonathan Cecil and Sheila Reid. At the Savoy Theatre in 2001 Patricia Routledge starred again, with the new cast of Alistair Petrie, Essie Davis, Theo Fraser Steele, Sarah Kants, Jonathan Elsom and Beverley Dunn. |
