This Easter Concert, billed as a Grand Sacred Concert, took place on Good Friday, 28 March 1902. It included instrumental and vocal pieces conducted by Richard Wade and featuring the Band of the Royal Hussars. The soloists were Isabel Bowers, Albert Chapman, Una Bruckshaw and Frank Pemberton, accompanied by Alyce Kent who played a grand piano lent by the Music Warehouse in Stratford. The music included Beethoven's Egmont overture, O Divine Redeemer to music by Gunoud, a selection from Gunoud's Faust, Edward German's dances from Henry VIII, Sullivan's Thou Art Passing Hence, The Sailor's Grave and The Lost Chord, a selection from Wagner's Lohengrin, the Chorus of Dervishes by Sebek and songs by Schumann, Stainer, Teresa del Riego, Oscar Alon and Frank Idel. It finished with Sousa's Stars and Stripes March, and God Save The King.
