A male drummer is depicted in profile, wearing a military jacket and looking towards a silhouette of a guillotine in front of a red sky. The price ('Crown 8vo. Price 3/6') is lettered beneath the author's name, and the printer's name and address is lettered at the foot of the page. The dual monograms of the artists intersect at the bottom right of the sheet. There are notes in pencil on the reverse giving the artist's names, and details of three publications in 1896, 1901 and 1913.
