This dress by Rahul Mishra is from his ‘Lotus Effect’ collection of 2014. He won the international wool mark prize for this collection, the first Indian designer to do so. The monochrome dress is made from a translucent fabric hand woven using wool yarn. It is embellished with dense hand-embroidered patterns using zardozi stitching. The patterns are inspired by M.C. Escher’s optical illusions, and trace the transformation of a lotus into an urban landscape
