Costume design created by Leslie Hurry for children in a production of Medea by Euripides, directed by John Gielgud and presented at the Edinburgh Festival in 1948.

The children were performed by Stanley Foreman and Anthony Linke in Edinburgh and Foreman performed alongside David Cole in the London production.

Medea, a free adaptation from the original play by Euripides, was created by the America poet, Robinson Jeffers. The production was directed by John Gielgud for the Royal Lyceum Theatre and was presented between 22 August and 12 September as part of the 1948 Edinburgh Festival. It transferred to the Globe Theatre, London on 27 September 1948.

Costume design created by Leslie Hurry for children in a production of Medea by Euripides, directed by John Gielgud and presented at the Edinburgh Festival in 1948.
The design is executed in pastel, pen and ink. It shows two full length figures, both young men. Their chests are bare, but a skirt, formed from strips of fabric is wound around their waist, and a further length of fabric runs up over their proper left shoulder. The male figure at the front is dressed in tones of pale yellow and orange, whilst the figure behind him wears tones of sea green and blue.
