Bought in 1939 by Freda Puleston for her first daughter, Elizabeth, this pink quilted cot cover has been in the family ever since. The fabric is printed with multiple characters and scenes from Walt Disney's animated film 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'. Scenes include Snow White cleaning the Seven Dwarves house and being given the poisoned apple by the wicked Queen, who is disguised as an old woman.

A baby's cot cover with Disney characters from the animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, ca. 1939.
Physical description
Baby's cot cover eiderdown. Pale pink base with full colour printed design on both sides of 17 scenes from Disney's animated film 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'. The eiderdown has piped edging and four eyelits in the corners and one in the middle, there is a quatrefoil pattern at the centre which is stitched in pink thread.

Bought in London or King’s Lynn by Freda Puleston for her first daughter Elizabeth (born 7 June 1939) and was used by her second daughter Joanna (born 6 June 1944). It has been in the family’s possession since then and has been given by them to the V&A Museum of Childhood.
