Brief description
Armchair made by Betty Joel
Physical description
Low-backed green leather armchair with wooden base and feet
Dimensions
  • Height: 75cm
  • Width: 63.5cm
  • Depth: 60cm (Note: Measurements taken from FWK registers)
Production
Probably designed by Goodhart-Rendell, based on this entry from Betty Joel's diary from 1932: “We made all the furniture to G-R's design, funny Victorian stuff it is too. The green upholstered chairs are very good, but resemble stone work in the mouldings, and were originally designed inches too small in the seat!!”
