This outfit consists of four pieces: a caftan, a shirt (khmis), a belt (mdomma) and a shawl. All garments are made of a red fluid silky fabric, whereby both the caftan and the shirt have long sleeves. The caftan is open in the front and has very high side splits up to the waist. The breast, back and sleeves are elaborately decorated with flower embroidery in red silk and decorated with small black beads. The sides are decorated with black needle lace (renda or shebka) and small black beads. The use of beads in the decorations is characteristic for Maison Fadela (this piece is not signed, but it was donated by Zhor Sebti herself). The shirt is closed in the front and has much shorter splits on the side. The bodice is made of two layers of fabric, while the sleeves are a single layer. The edges are decorated with needle lace and small black beads. Two small buttons on the shoulders allow it to be attached to the caftan worn on top. The shawl, which is also made of red fluid silky material and decorated with needle lace and black beads, is not usually part of the caftan but rather a European influence and therefore can be worn in a variety of ways (over the shoulders, arms or around the neck). The belt is a very innovative and seemingly European influenced type of strap.
