Physical description | Glazed and unlazed porcelain figurine representing Feodor Chaliapin in the title role of Modest Mussorgsky's opera Boris Godunov, standing on a roughly oval white base, wearing a midnight blue coat with a maroon collar, decorated with rows of gold buttons and hand-painted with gold floral sprigs, pver a long white tunic, turquoise breeches and tan boots decorated with floral patterns. He holds a length of turquoise fabric in his right hand, both hands bend to his chest. The base bears the marker's mark for the Lomonosov State Porcelain Factory. |
