This Gujarati odhni was first dyed magenta. It was then block-printed with a wax resist to protect parts of the background before being dyed again in deep indigo blue. This intense colour combination is also found in tie-dyed saris from Saurashtra, where this head-cover was made.

Physical description
Two halves of a silk head-cover, magenta and dark blue, resist-printed with small floral motif in the field and a row of botehs (flowers) at the end. Woven gold band at one end.
