Artist/Maker
Place of origin

This Soviet-era Russian propaganda poster depicts a female head in profile, mouth open as if speaking, in front of an outline map of Europe and the western portion of Russia, surmounted with the word 'STOP'. The 'O' in Stop is stylised to resemble an anti-nuclear protest symbol, with a red cross through the silhouette of a missile. The leftward orientation of the profile head suggests that it is speaking to the west and to the United States.
