Place of origin |
A decorative vignette drawn in blue ballpoint pen on thin white copy paper. ‘The Salon’ is written in hand-lettering on a tasselled banner with bows in each corner, above which hangs a chandelier fitted with candles. Various illustrations surround the lettering in a wreath like formation. Small banners with the names of various retailers and brands written on them are interspersed throughout the design. The top of the design consists of two cherubs holding up a banner with Stephen Jones written on it, surmounted by a top hat with a band of flowers around the brim. On each side of the hat are three ostrich feathers tied with a bow. At the bottom of the design is an arrangement of hat boxes, along with a laptop, an ornate hand mirror and a market stall selling hats. On either side of the arrangement are three ostrich feathers tied with a bow.
