In the 1980s the British anarchist organisation Class War produced a tabloid with a provocative dark humour. The covers were often reproduced as posters and their style was highly influential. The image of a boot ‘kicking in’ a Rolls-Royce is a typical expression of furious opposition to the Tories, who they argued were defending an unfair class system.
