Object history
Believed by David Queensberry of Queensberry Hunt Levien to be the first time a tableware product has been made that combines plastic and porcelain. The acrylic handle is attached with an adhesive using a process developed by Guzzini, and is understood to be completely safe in use and in the dishwasher. The cappucino cup and saucer was described at launch in the Guzzini catalogue as a cup and saucer 'for coffee/cappuccino/tea'.
