Object history
Believed by David Queensberry of Queensberry Hunt Levien to be the first time a tableware product has been made that combines plastic and porcelain. The acrylic handle is attached with an adhesive using a process developed by Guzzini, and is understood to be completely safe in use and in the dishwasher. The large breakfast cup from the range was not accompanied by a saucer. On the original Queensberry Hunt Levien design drawings, the breaksfast cup was referred to as a 'Jumbo cup'.
