Place of origin

Jealous Print Studio established a Graduate Prize in 2009. A prize is awarded to one MA Fine Art graduate from each of the eight major London colleges; The Royal Academy, The Royal College of Art, Goldsmith’s, Camberwell, Central St Martin’s, The Slade, Chelsea and Wimbledon. The winning graduates are awarded an all-expenses paid residency in their print studios. Guided by their studio team, each graduate creates a new limited edition print. The portfolio of each year’s graduate prints is then shown together in a group exhibition. Jealous is donating all the Graduate editions to the V&A print collection.

Trevor Abbott graduated from Camberwell School of Art with an MA in Printmaking 2013. His print for Jealous develops one of the main themes of his MA exhibition – the way that we are all now converting the world to a mass of redundant ‘technical’ images, which circulate endlessly carrying with them ‘layers of artifice’ imposed by the means of capture, storage and transmission.
