Jealous Print Studio established a Graduate Prize in 2009. A prize is awarded to one MA Fine Art graduate from each of the eight major London colleges; The Royal Academy, The Royal College of Art, Goldsmith’s, Camberwell, Central St Martin’s, The Slade, Chelsea and Wimbledon. The winning graduates are awarded an all-expenses paid residency in their print studios. Guided by their studio team, each graduate creates a new limited edition print. The portfolio of each year’s graduate prints is then shown together in a group exhibition. Jealous is donating all the Graduate editions to the V&A print collection.

Nicola Thomas graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2013. Looking, and the idea of the ‘gaze’ are central to Nicola’s work. Her print for Jealous shows the 1930s film actress Lupe Vélez, printed in shades of black with added flocking which invites touch.
