This coffee percolator, was designed by Pino Spagnolo, architect, at his design firm Pino Spagnolo Design Snc in Turin, Italy. It was made by Frederico Guarneri to Spagnolo's designs at the Biesse Group Italy in about 1994. The museum has thirteen sheets of designs and two wooden and perspex models for this coffee percolator. A coffee percolator is placed directly over heat and one of the designs shows a lit gas ring near the base of the coffee percolator. The coffee is heated in the perspex part of the percolator via the metal base which is placed directly onto the source of heat.

Physical description | Coffee pot with a grey, metal base moulded with three circular grooves around its circumference and with a sloping foot. The container is made out of clear perspex and the handle is made out of black plastic. The domed lid is made out of clear perspex and has a grey plastic handle treated to sparkle like the metal base. |
