Richard Kilroy (b.1985) is a British fashion illustrator and the founder and editor of Decoy magazine, a limited edition publication that focuses solely on fashion illustration. He has worked for a wide variety of fashion houses and publications, and in 2010 was appointed by Somerset House to produce an illustration for their exhibition 'Dior Illustrated: René Gruau and the Line of Beauty'. Kilroy is known for his ability to combine photorealistic drawing with bold lines and abstract patches of colour. His work self-consciously relates to older generations of fashion illustrators such as Rene Gruau, David Downton and Julie Verhoeven, all of whom are also represented in the V&A's collection.
