Collar
1875-1911 (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

This collar would have been worn during a formal occasion, possibly as an accessory in a wedding outfit. Such collars are sometimes nicknamed a 'cloud collar'; in this case this is an apt description as each panel of the collar is formed in the shape of a ruyi cloud.

There is a missionary link to this vest as they were probably brought back from China by a missionary with the China Inland Missionary Society, Ebenezer Mann.
