Herbert Campbell (1844-1904) sang this comic song I'm Getting A Big Boy Now in the pantomime Cinderella that opened at London's Drury Lane Theatre on 26th December 1888. A comic vocalist, Herbert Campbell made his first pantomime appearance in King Winter at the Theatre Royal, Liverpool in 1871 and in 1882 made his first appearance in the Drury Lane pantomime Babes in the Wood with Dan Leno as his comic foil. They appeared together in the annual Christmas pantomime, every year until his death in 1904 aged 59.
