  • Community Affairs is a part of Greenwich Council. Its job is to ensure that services provided by the Council, and others, meet the needs of all communities and neighbourhoods in the borough. Its aims:
  • - Open local government - Setting up development and funding of community organisations - Responsive health and education authorities - Equal rights and opportunities, particularly for women, lesbians and gay men, and for all ethnic minorities. - Accountability to those who pay for and use the services of the police. - Maximum availability of welfare rights.
  • Giving more power to all disadvantaged and / minority groups / Ensuring that their legal rights are enforced
