Silk carpet with fretted field in two shades of yellow with large butterflies in blues, white and apricot. Knotted pile with cotton.

Border: yellow ground with tripod, swastika, vase of flowers, etc. in blues, white and apricot.

Outer edge: band of plain dark blue.

Technique:

wrap: cotton, 18 to inch
weft: silk, knot, Persian, 72 to the sq. inch
sides: over sewn with white cotton
