Eames DSS Stacking Chair, light brown, (DSS standing for Dining height, Side, Stacking). Fibreglass shell on chromium-plated legs. The metal side hooks attached to the legs serve two purposes: to enable the chairs to be linked in rows and to give some separation when stacked.

Object history
Initially produced in six colours, the huge commercial success of the DSS chair made production in multiple colours commercially viable. This fourth-generation production version, was offered in up to 26 colours (albeit not all always available at the same time) by Herman Miller Ltd.
