Physical description | The dress is white with red details. It is cut like an angrakha, a fully skirted tunic but without sleeves. It has smocked-style bodice and gathered skirt and there is a single-button fastening similar to those found on traditional angrakha. The smocked-style top consists of machine embroidery in red with hand stitched details along the arm holes, neck and fastening. The smocked section is lined with red and white checked fabric. The entire garment is made from handwoven jamdani fabric and the gathered skirt extends from the smocking ending in a border lined with red. |
