Dean’s was founded in 1903 as Dean’s Rag Book Company. It originally made teddy rag sheets. Its most productive time for actual bear making was in the 1920s and 1930s. The company moved to Wales in 1972 and is still making bears today.

Physical description | Pink teddy bear with jointed head, arms and legs. All four paw pads are covered with pink velvet. The eyes are black plastic and the nose and mouth are stitched in black wool. There is a label stitched on to the right foot paw pad printed in brown with the company's name and logo. There is another label stitched into the left side seam between the left arm and leg, also printed in brown with the logo, the CE safety mark and the number 16 (in black). |
