Watercolour
11/03/1904-26/03/1904 (drawn)
Artist/Maker | |
Place of origin |
Drawing in watercolour and sepia ink over pencil of an interior of a room looking into one corner. Most prominent is a long case clock, ca. 1780, oak with mahogany cross-banding and a brass dial. To the left of the clock is a partially opened door and on the adjoining wall wooden panelling and a window with window seat and red cushion and curtains. Light pours through the window onto patterned carpet and the clock. To the right, and closest to the viewer, is a partly visible court cupboard with a upright chair against its left side back on so only cushion is clearly visible. Colouring of predominantly browns and reds.
