Physical description | This blazer is made from a blue, red and white striped cotton fabric. The striped overlap each other and are different thicknesses. The blazer has no colar but instead has an attached navy hem. The blazer is secured with three gold-coloured plastic buttons on ther front. There is a navy nylon lining on the inside. |

Object history | This blazer was donated by Jackie and Norman Newton who opened a children's clothing boutique in Essex in the early 1970s. The blazer was one of the items saved when the shop closed down a few years later. The objects donated by the Newtons were often worn by their own children. |
