This girl's dress was produced in the 1970s by the Kids in Gear clothing company located on Carnaby Street. It made with purple woollen jersey fabric and features yellow buttons in the shape of hearts down the front.

Brief description	Purple woollen jersey dress made by Kids in Gear of Carnaby Street in the 1970s
Physical description	Girl's dress made from purple woollen jersey material. It has yellow stitching along the lower hemline, waist, wrists, shoulders, chest and collar. This stitching is accented with matching yellow buttons in the shape of hearts that are located down the centre of the dress, from neck to waist. The dress also features the original price tag, attached to one of the buttons.

Object history	This dress was donated by Jackie and Norman Newton who opened a children's clothing boutique in Essex in the early 1970s. The dress was one of the items saved after the shop closed a few years later. The objects donated by the Newton's were often worn by their own children.
