This girl's dress was produced in the 1970s by the Kids in Gear clothing company located on Carnaby Street. It made with purple woollen jersey fabric and features yellow buttons in the shape of hearts down the front.

The dress also features the original price tag, attached to one of the buttons. |

| Object history | This dress was donated by Jackie and Norman Newton who opened a children's clothing boutique in Essex in the early 1970s. The dress was one of the items saved after the shop closed a few years later. The objects donated by the Newton's were often worn by their own children. |
