Yogi Bear has been a popular cartoon character since the late 1950s and has enjoyed a revival thanks to the 2010 live action film. He has been licensed for character merchandising since the 1960s and the British firm Combex made several Yogi Bear items, including this lamp and a toothpaste holder. The paddling figure of Yogi depicted here was also used by Combex on a push along trolley.

Plastic lamp in the shape of Yogi Bear, made in England by Combex, 1960s.
Physical description
Brown plastic figure of Yogi Bear in a sitting position holding a paddle. The figure has a green hat and tie with a white collar. The mouth is wide and grinning with a red streak wider at the left side with the tongue licking out. The nose and eyes are black and the overall fur is moulded to appear fur-like. There is a white disc of plastic on the underside marked Combex.
