This is a brown mohair dressed character teddy bear, made by Steiff in 2002. It has its button label and both its paper tags attached, proving its authenticity.
Steiff was founded in 1880 by Margarete Steiff, who designed the prototypes herself. However, it did not initially make teddy bears, something it began in 1902, and is now world famous for. The company remains popular to this day and its soft toys are known for their high quality.

Mohair teddy bear, dressed in a tunic and hat, made in Germany by Steiff in 2002
Physical description
Small beige mohair teddy bear, wearing a brown tunic and a red hat. The tunic is fastened at the front with a red length of nylon rope, and the hat is attached to the bear's head. The nose and mouth are stitched onto the bear's face and it has black button eyes. It has the Steiff button label attached to its left ear and further identification and description labels attached with a plastic tag to the left foot.
