Fozzie Bear is one of the main Muppet characters created by Jim Henson (1936-1990). Fozzie is an orange, particularly fuzzy bear who works as a stand-up comic and came to prominence during the run of the television programme, The Muppet Show (1976-1981). It proved a cult show popular with both children and adults. Subsequent spin-off merchandise became best sellers and the Fisher Price Fozzie was one of the most popular.

Physical description
Unjointed bear of orange fur in a standing position. Around the neck is a white bow tie with pink spots. The figure wears a brown plastic hat and has brown plastic eyes with purple lids. The nose is large, pink and bulbous. The ears are small and the insides are a slightly different colour and the fur is smoother. The mouth is closed and smiling. The hands have thumbs. The stuffing is soft but firm. There is a label sewn into the upper left leg.
