'Gulvase' type bottles were very popular during the 1960s as export ware. The form was first made at Odense glassworks from a 1962 design by master glassblower Otto Brauer, taken from a 19th-century standard production for factory use. The 1960s version was produced in a number of colours, including clear red, blue, turquoise cased with white, and opaque orange and yellow.
