Historical context | There is a variation of this relief in brownish marble in the Victoria and Albert Museum, museum no. 108-1878, and there are versions in stucco in the Museo Nazionale (Bargello) in Florence, in the Musée du Louvre in Paris, in the Alte Pinakothek in Munich, in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and elsewhere. |
