Irina, Moore's wife, is shown standing in the sculptor's studio in Hampstead, London, among some of the artist's sculptures. On the left is a statue which Moore later destroyed; on the right is Mask, a sculpture that shows the influence of 'primitive' and especially pre-Colombian art on Moore's work. The small statuette below the mask was destroyed by a bomb during World War II.
