The Princess Catherine Doll was brought as an example of merchandising commemorating the Royal wedding in 2011. Royal occasions have always been celebrated by the public and there is always a demand for commemorative mechanise from tea cups to flags, from both adults and children, which are popular with the British public as well as with tourists. The museum has many examples of Royal memorabilia celebrating weddings, coronations and jubilees. It also has an extensive collection of dolls which this example will make a good addition to.

Physical description
The box is made of card and is purple, at the front it has a window to view the doll and at the bottom her accessories. In the centre in white writing is Princess Catherine Doll, www.princesscatherinstyle.com and a logo of a crown above it. The doll inside has brown hair that is down and stitched to the packaging. The doll is wearing a blue dresses, which is a replica of the one Catherine Middleton wore for her engagement announcement. The back of the box lists her outfit and the designers.
