In the print, Haynes has ass ears and says 'What! am I to marry you all....'. Father of Maria Foote says 'Until certain parchments be signed the bridal salute must wait!'. Maria Foote, in her bridal wear, says, 'You know the old proverb Mother between two stools '. Mother of the Bride says "Stop Maria until he has provided for your poor father and mother!". |
