Taken from departmental record: 'Five portions of a coffer decorated with floral scrollwork, a shield within a wreath, vases surmounted by eagles, and bands of palmette, leaf and bead ornament.'
Object history
Taken from departmental record: 'Made in the Art Work Room, South Kensington Museum. Paid to mr. W. G. P. Townsend for gilding and colourings sets three and five.'
