Die Soldaten fallen

Leaflet
1942 -1944 (published)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

This is one of many anti-Nazi leaflets given out by the Soviet Army in 1941-1942 in order to highlight the corruption and profits the German companies were making from the government of the Third Reich for supporting the war with supplies.Using this leaflet as propaganda for themselves, the Red Army equates the money that was earned with blood and tries to convince the people to desert and join them.

The front of the leaflet shows pictures of stocks and a dead soldier as well as statistic numbers of the profit done by German companies. On the back is a list of companies and individual people that have earned money throughout the Second World War and a plea to join the Red Army with the words: "Geh auf die Seite der Roten Armee über!" (Desert to the Red Army!)
