This poster advertises the publication of a World War I book "Meine Kampfflüge" ("My war flights") written by Max Immelmann and published by August Scherl. In the beginning of World War I, when the two aviators Oswald Boelcke and Max Immelmann became very successful, the public wanted to have more details about their lives in combat.
After Immelmann's tragic death in June 1916, the publisher August Scherl from Berlin followed Immelmann's, publishing his adventures that he had described in letters written to his mother.
