This fashion design shows a woman wearing a dress designed by Marjorie Field for the haute couture firm Field Rhoades which was registered in the London street directories at 77, South Audley Street, London W1 for the years 1948 to 1949. Below the bottom hem of the dress, appears a frilled edge to an inner skirt and on the side seam, there is a prominent ribbon. A pencil dotted line has been applied around the skirt to indicate a sewn seam.
