These vehicles are from the Galoob Micro Machines series, subtitled The Original Scale Miniatures. Micro Machines were popular throughout the mid 1980s and 1990s, tiny scale component vehicles and associated transforming playsets. The vehicles came in many styles of popular cars and trucks, trains, emergency vehicles, tanks, boats, aeroplanes, helicopters and motorcycles. Licenced models from films such as Star Wars, Star Trek and Alien were also produced, as well as James Bond and Indiana Jones. For several years during their heyday, they were the best selling brand of toy car and inspired a series of popular video games, as well as being featured in the 1990 film Home Alone.
